Toronto History Part One : The Nineteenth Century
There is more to Toronto than you will ever learn by taking in the
panorama from the CN Tower, or by checking out a Raptors game at the
Air Canada Centre. Join our Historic Toronto tour, and learn all about
the surprising origins of modern day Toronto.
Our emphasis is on the first century of Toronto history. This tour
will introduce you to the facts that are unknown to many people who
have lived here for decades. Invest ninety-minutes with us, and you
will impress others by knowing the sometimes shocking tales of our old
town district.
Today, the modern city of Toronto is a cosmopolitan centre for all
of Canada. Culture, business, and entertainment flourish. We have the
largest multicultural population of any city in the world. We have the
third largest theatre district in the world. But Toronto has not always
been such a model city. Murder, epidemic, invasion, revolution and disaster
were all part of early Toronto. Travel back over 200 years in time,
and discover the origins of our city. You will hear the amazing stories
of a city that you only thought you knew.
The truth behind Historic Toronto will amaze you!!
