REMEMBRANCE : A HISTORY OF REMEMBRANCE DAY IN TORONTO

This talk illustrates how the various symbols and ceremonies that we associate with Remembrance Day came to be.

Remembrance_1Every year on November 11th, our city stops to observe two minutes of silence, to commemorate the memory of our fallen veterans. Many of the traditions, ceremonies, symbols and cenotaphs where we gather were brought around after the end of the First World War. This presentation takes a respectful look back at the way Toronto has grown into commemorating Remembrance Day.
